Sports Psychology is about preparing
the mind of the athlete / player as thoroughly as the
preparation of the body. While physical fitness is concerned
with the 4S’s (speed, stamina, suppleness
and strength); mental fitness is about the 4C’s
(confidence, commitment, concentration and control).
Sport Psychology is the route to achieving higher levels
of performance on a consistent basis. Some athletes &
players perform well in training and under non stressful
conditions but fail to deliver their optimum performance
in highly competitive situations. Sports Psychologists
help athletes / players increase their chances of achieving
peak performance by assisting athletes / players to plan
better, train smarter, manage emotions and perform with
confidence.
